I need to assign a code to all text segments that are in bold font (in a word docx). How can I accomplish that in MaxQDA?

Hello Haug,
When you import a Word document into MAXQDA, all formatting, including bold text, is preserved. However, MAXQDA does not automatically assign codes based on text formatting like bold font. You would need to manually code these segments.
You can do this by highlighting the bold text segments in the "Document Browser" and assigning a code using the drag-and-drop method or other coding techniques available in MAXQDA.
Let us know if you have any further questions, please.
Kind regards, Khaled

Thanks for clarifying this. Can I submit this as a feature request? Given that formatting is preserved, it should be possible to allow users to search for text formated as bold or italic. This would be really useful, for example in interview transcripts where the interviewer's words are in bold, or to identify headings in a text (bold) or key words in a text (italic).
