Why is the "Text Search & Autocode Tool" in MaxQDA only coding some segments instead of all the ones that match my search terms? For example, if I have a list of 100 matching segments, it only codes about 25 of them. How can I ensure it codes all matching segments?

Dear Victoria,
Thank you for your question! In general, this function should definitely code all the found elements. However, please note that the number of coded segments may be smaller than the number of matches. The reason for this is that a match may appear several times within a coded segment. For example if you use autocode to always code entire sentences. The sentence "I was walking, one dog on the left, another dog an the right". This would cause two matches for the word "dog" but it would only create one coded segment for the code "dog". For this reason it is totally normal that the number of coded segments are smaller than the number of matches.
