If I add a new code, then MaxQDA crashes immediately when I try to apply the code to my text.

Hello,

in any case of crash, please the try the following things:
- Check if you have a backup file which works fine

- set up your project file:

  1. Create a new project file and save it on your local hard disk (e.g. on the desktop)
  2. Open it, go to the “Home” tab and select “Merge projects” on the far right
  3. Merge the new project file with the problematic project file

If this doesn't help, then please contact our software support team through the support form:

https://www.maxqda.com/de/funktionssupport

It would be great if you describe which steps you take, when MAXQDA crashes and please add your project file if possible.

Best regards,

Still crashing in the same way. Almost any change to codes causes a crash as soon as I try to add the code to the document.

Closing the document, opening another, then reopening often prevents the crash.

Document size doesn't seem to matter (100k, 1MB, 2MB) no difference.
