How can I find the unique code codes per document. I have 13 interviews and 2 focus groups and I coded in order of the data sessions occuring. For example, 213 codes for interview one and 119 for interview 2. Of the two interviews, I only want the new codes for interview two that are not a reoccurrence from interview one. I am hoping this can be done at the document level.

Dear Jeannine,
Thank you for your question.
To find unique codes per document in MAXQDA, you can follow these steps:
- Use the Code Matrix Browser to visualize code assignments across your documents. This tool will help you see which codes are applied to each document.
- Export the code assignments for each document to Excel or another spreadsheet program. This will allow you to compare the codes between documents.
- In your spreadsheet, compare the codes for each document to identify which codes are unique to each one.
The Document Comparison Chart in MAXQDA is a useful tool for visually comparing coded segments across multiple documents. It allows you to see the sequence and frequency of codes applied to each document. However, it does not directly identify unique codes per document.
To find unique codes, you would still need to manually compare the codes shown in the Document Comparison Chart or export the data for further analysis.
Hope this answers your question. Let us know if you need further information.
