How do I upgrade my current license to MAXQDA 24?

Your upgrade option depends on the type of your contract.

Subscription

As a subscriber, you have received an email with the new serial code, which starts with MQSI00-xxxx-... or MQNE00-xxxx-...

You can find your new serial number in your subscription manager account or look up your new serial number here.

Students

Students with a valid license can upgrade for free through this upgrade page.

Perpetual License

As the holder of a perpetual license, you will find a special offer in our shop.

We no longer offer perpetual licenses, but instead, annual subscriptions and licenses that automatically expire after 3 or 5 years.

This way, you always have access to the latest features of MAXQDA, including AI-support.

Installation

Please download and install MAXQDA24.

Then enter the new serial number. You can recognize the serial number for MAXQDA 24 by the number 00, for example: MQSI00-xxxxxx-xxxxxx...

Now open your existing project file with the .mx22 extension. Your project will now be automatically converted to an MAXQDA 24 project file.
