How can I buy additional transcription time?

When you use MAXQDA Transcription for the first time, you will receive 60 minutes free of charge so that you can test how well the feature helps you with your research work.

You can buy additional minutes for the automatic transcription in our MAXQDA Online Shop.

You will then receive a transcription code which you can activate in your MAXQDA account or in MAXQDA when you transcribe a media file.  Only then will the transcription package be available for use. Further information on redeeming the transcription package can be found in the MAXQDA manual.

We currently offer four packages: 

• 2 hours
• 5 hours
• 10 hours
• 20 hours

The hour package refers to the playback time of the media file (video or audio file). The duration is calculated to the second when the file is processed. 

You can purchase transcription minutes as a private customer or as a business customer. 

• Private customer - If you want to buy MAXQDA transcription for yourself and also pay the bill yourself.
• Business customer - If MAXQDA is purchased by an organization, institution or company. In this case you can enter an organization name and a different billing address and billing e-mail. 

There is no difference in price between the two options.
