Start with MAXQDA - Create a new project

If you want to start a new project, proceed as follows:

1)  Click on New project in the MAXQDA start window (first page that opens when you start the app):

2) Save your new, empty project as an .mx24 file locally in a folder on your computer:

3) Your newly created, empty project will now open automatically:

All changes in this project are saved automatically. 

4) You can now start importing your documents/data etc:
