With the MAXQDA trial version, you can explore the features and capabilities of the software. However, you are not permitted to use the trial version for your own research projects. If you wish to work with MAXQDA, you must purchase a license. Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for projects created with a trial version.
Projects initiated with an MAXQDA trial license can be continued in all product variants afterward. Projects are saved as files with the extension .mx24 on a location of your choice on your hard drive and can be reopened from there at any time after unlocking the full version. Project files remain stored on your computer even after the full license expires and can be continued with a new license.
Please remember to regularly back up your project files. We do not store your data in your MAXQDA account.
