How do I export my MAXQDA project?
If you want to save your project or make it available to another person, you can easily export your project.
- Open your project in MAXQDA.
- Click on Home > Save Project As.
- Now select a location where you would like to export your project. The project file can be recognized by the extension mx24.
If you have included external files (videos, images, audio, or large pdfs) in your project, please also export these files.
- Click on Home > External Files > Bundle External Data Files.
- The external files are compressed as a zip file and saved in the MAXQDA24 folder.
- The file is named as follows: Projectname.mx24.zip
- The exact path is displayed in a popup.
- Then click on OK.
- The files are then exported.
You may save these files on external data storage, file server, or cloud server. But be sure that you copy the files first on your local hard drive before opening the project file again. Otherwise opening your project file from a file server or cloud storage may damage your project file.
How do I export a TeamCloud project?
You can export your TeamCloud project if you want to continue working on it without TeamCloud, for example. Or if you want to make the project available to someone who does not have TeamCloud.
- Open MAXQDA.
- Log in to your TeamCloud account
- Open the desired project.
- Click on the ribbon TeamCloud > Export as Local Project.
- The project is now saved as a MAXQDA project with the extension mx24. Files of a certain size are automatically saved in the MAXQDA_Externals folder.
