Why is the test code for activating my demo license not valid?

To avoid formatting problems (such as invisible characters), please proceed as follows during activation:

Windows

• Open "Editor"
• Copy your trial code into "Editor"
• Select the serial number, copy it and paste the serial number into the MAXQDA activation window

macOS

• Open "TextEdit"
• Copy your trial code into "TextEdit" and click on "Format" > "Convert to plain text"
• Select the trial code, copy it and paste the serial number into the MAXQDA activation window

Another reason could be that a trial version has already been activated on the computer. You can only activate the trial version once on your device.
