In some rare cases, the error 2x0 appears when activating or starting MAXQDA. The message is Error 2x0: Please contact our Support Team at www.maxqda.com/license-support and provide the error code and the support file. To create a support file, click 'Export Support File'.
Error code 2x0 indicates a problem with the MAXQDA license file. To be able to use MAXQDA again, please delete the current license file.
Windows:
- Press the Windows key and R, copy the following path into the address field and click on 'OK': %allusersprofile%
- Delete the "MAXQDA 24" folder.
- Start MAXQDA again.
- You may now have to reactivate it by entering your serial number.
Mac:
- Press Shift, Cmd and G,
- copy the following path into the address bar and click 'OK' to access the folder: ~/Library/Application Support/
- Delete the 'MAXQDA' or 'MAXQDA24' folder.
- Start MAXQDA and reactivate it.
We recommend upgrading to the latest version of MAXQDA.
- Download: https://www.maxqda.com/download-now
- Your existing project file will be displayed directly in MAXQDA 26, and when you open it, a copy will be created and converted to the new format.
- Your serial number will be recognized immediately. It is not necessary to deactivate the serial number before upgrading.
