It is important to note that MAXQDA can only be activated using the serial number corresponding to the appropriate version of the software. For instance, to activate MAXQDA 2022, you must use a serial number specifically for that version, which would typically begin with MQSE22-xxxxxx.

If you want to download and install the correct version you can download an older version of MAXQDA here or MAXQDA 24 here.
If you enter a serial number for MAXQDA 24 in a MAXQDA 2022 version you will receive the error message "You can find installation files for all MAXQDA versions at https://www.maxqda.com/updates"
Please then install MAXQDA 24, then you will be able to activate MAXQDA 24
When you enter a MAXQDA 2022 serial number in MAXQDA24 you will receive the following message:
It seems like the serial number you've entered is for a different version of MAXQDA. You can access installation files for all MAXQDA versions at https://www.maxqda.com/updates.
