Error 104x15 indicates a general network error that occurs when MAXQDA cannot establish a connection to the MAXQDA-license server. Unfortunately, the error code does not provide specifics about the exact cause of the error.


The most common cause is the use of incorrect connection details (typographical errors, incorrect server address, port number, or license name). Please double-check the connection details you are using.


If you are not in the same network as the server with the network license, please first establish a VPN connection to the server’s network, as MAXQDA needs to be connected to the same network as the server to access the license successfully.


To rule out any issues with the MAXQDA-license server or the license itself, please also contact your local IT team.
