MAXQDA offers countless possibilities to export data from MAXQDA.

Exporting transcripts

You can export documents in the document itself. To do this, click on the export symbol.

Export coded documents

Export or print as PDF incl. "Visualize coding"

How can I export a PDF file with codes?

Print documents with paraphrases

Analysis > Paraphrase > Print document with paraphrases. Select a PDF printer here.

Export coded segments

You can use the Smart Publisher (Reports > Smart Publisher) to define the codes and documents for which the coded segments are to be exported as a Word file.

You can also activate the coded segments you want to export and click on the export icon.  You can choose to export the retrieved segments with memos, comments, variables and more.

Print code system

You can use the codebook (Reports > Codebook) to output your code system with all code definitions. It is important that the code definitions have been entered in the code memos. You will then receive a Word file with the code system and all code definitions.

Exporting and transferring the code system

You can export the code system created in your project as a MAXQDA code system. A .mtr24 file will be created. This file can be re-imported into another project file so that you can continue working with the created code system. This function is also helpful when working in a team if everyone is to work with the same code system. You can just send the mtr24 file to your co-workers.

Export list of codes

You can export a list of codes as a Word or Excel file. The code system, memos and code assignment frequencies are output. You can find the function under Reports > Export > List of codes.

Export summaries

Under the menu item Report > Summaries, you can create a Word file with all coded segments and the summaries

Export memos

You can export all memos as a Word or PDF file via the Memos > All memos > Export icon

Export all documents and files

You can use the Archive function to export all documents and files with additional data. Select Start > Archive data. Another option is Reports > Export > All documents.
