To work together in a team, each team member needs a valid MAXQDA license.

- Network license
- Campus license
- Free-floating license.
Student and course licenses are for personal use only and are not intended for teamwork.
We recommend that all team members use the latest version to avoid difficulties when merging work statuses.
It is currently not possible to work on a project file at the same time. However, there are several ways to work on a project together as a team.
- Serial work on a project file that is exchanged.
- Merging and comparing different work statuses using the Teamwork function.
- Merging work statuses by merging projects.
- The TeamCloud add-on shares files via a secure cloud space, and the entire teamwork workflow is directly integrated into MAXQDA, including the exchange of external files.
If you want to optimize teamwork with TeamCloud, you need a valid MAXQDA license for each team member and a TeamCloud license for the entire project team (up to 5 team members).
