What questions can I ask in the AI chat?

In principle, all questions and instructions (prompts) are possible that relate to the respective document or the selected coded segments. Of course, which prompts make sense depends on the specific use case and the research interest. We encourage you to try different prompts.

Here are some starting points for chatting about a document:

  1. Create a summary, organized by the following topics: Topic 1, Topic 2, Topic 3 ...
  2. Are there any indications of contradictions in the interview?
  3. How could I interpret the interviewee’s statements on topic XY?

And here are some suggestions for chatting about coded segments:

  1. Create a table with two columns: 1. Document Name 2. Short Summary
  2. To what extent can evidence be found in the segments for the relation between "A" and "B"?
  3. Are there any statements in the segments that support the assumption "A"?

These few examples illustrate the variety of opportunities and that it is also possible to determine the output formats, such as requesting a table. Please keep in mind that it is always a good idea to continue with direct follow-up prompts, for example:

  • Elaborate on aspect "A"

In the blog article you find more information to elevate your research with chatting with your documents.

We hope you enjoy trying it out!
